CHAPTER SIXTEEN

FURY

Fury sat down in his seat at the large table in the club’s Church room, ignoring the smirks and grins aimed his way. Razor, being the shit disturber he was, laughed outright and said, “Heard you were having some lady trouble, brother. I’m here for you, man, and I’ll be happy to take her off your hands when it gets to be too much.”

Fury gave him a cool stare before flipping him off, earning a round of chuckles. “I got another woman in my house you can have,” he told him.

“Wait, you have two women living with you now?” Steel asked in surprise. “How the hell did that happen?”

“Lucky bastard,” Razor retorted with a grin.

“Esme’s best friend lives with her and Gabe, and she refused to be left behind,” Fury answered, ignoring Razor. “Though I’d watch out for her if I were you. That dipshit prospect Marshall pushed her around and talked shit to her when she was supposed to come help us out at the bar. Said she was planning on shooting one of us in the kneecap for revenge.”

Razor stared at him for a moment before finally saying, “Damn, she sounds like my kind of chick.”

“Sounds like one more crazy female we’re going to have around this place,” Rogue said with a scowl. “Bad enough with Royal and Harlow, now we got Fury’s woman and her best friend? Think we better start hiding the guns, Savage.”

Savage smirked. “Probably would be safer,” he agreed. “Fury’s woman held a gun on us when we walked into her place earlier. Don’t need her giving Royal any more ideas.”

Laughter rang out, but quickly died down when Savage banged his gavel as Code entered, laptop in hand.

“Sorry, took a second to get unhooked,” Code said by way of apology.

Savage waved it away as Code grabbed his seat. “Brothers,” he began gravely, “we have some new information that could mean a shit storm heading our way.” The mood in the room darkened slightly at his words, but Savage pressed on. “As most of you have figured out by now, Fury’s got a new woman in his life, and she’s the new office manager for the garage. We found out this afternoon that Esme is actually the daughter of Santiago Ramirez, and her son, Gabe’s father is of his business partners Miguel Rojas.”

The room was silent for a moment before Razor said, “Explains why she’s such a badass, and why she’s questioning everything.” He looked at Fury, all joking gone from his face. “She tell you why she ran?”

Fury nodded. “Rojas beat her, and then killed men in front of Gabe. Expected him to fall in line and learn the family business. Gabe is fucking smart, and that kid could run an empire no problem, but she doesn’t want that for him. She poisoned Rojas and his guards, stole a car, and had a friend get her a new identity before she made her way to America. She and Gabe ran around for a while before they moved here with her friend Karissa.
